CBG Construction has successfully completed a comprehensive façade remediation programme at One Horsham Gates, a fully occupied residential building in Horsham. The 40-week programme involved the remediation and replacement of EPS render cladding, timber cladding, ACM cladding, and sections of the timber framework.
During the initial removal phase, latent defects were identified within the secondary framing on the south elevation, along with defective Oriented Strand Board (OSB) to the west and east elevations. Our team promptly designed and implemented new structural supports and replaced the OSB on a like-for-like basis, carefully considering structural racking requirements. These rectification works were delivered efficiently, ensuring the safe progression and successful completion of the programme with minimal disruption to residents.
The scheme reinforced the importance of undertaking early intrusive investigations to verify the accuracy and completeness of the initial FRAEW report. As a result, these procedures have now been formally integrated into our pre-construction workflows, strengthening our proactive risk management approach and enhancing delivery certainty on future projects.
