Florida Street, London

CBG Construction has successfully completed the façade remediation works at Florida Street, a six-storey residential building featuring three balconies. The scope of works comprised the full stripping and removal of the existing polystyrene-based External Wall Insulation (EWI) system, followed by the installation of fire-retardant materials in full compliance with current fire safety regulations.

The project initially faced delays due to challenges in securing road closure approval. During the stripping phase, previously unidentified penetrations were uncovered, requiring consultation and coordination with the appointed Fire Engineer to agree appropriate remedial solutions. Once these matters were resolved, works progressed in line with the agreed programme.

The project was delivered safely and efficiently, with clear communication maintained throughout. Regular progress updates ensured full transparency, and the completed scheme now provides a compliant and future-proofed façade solution for the client and residents.
